A dry scrubber is an air pollution control device that uses dry sorbent material to chemically react with and capture pollutants like acidic gases and particulates from industrial exhaust streams. The sorbent material, often a powder, is injected into the gas stream, forming solid byproducts that are then collected and removed by a filter or dust collector before the clean gas is released. This method is particularly useful for applications where water usage and wastewater generation need to be minimized

A wet scrubbers specifications are primarily defined by its performance operating parameters and construction materials which are customized based on the specific industrial application and pollutants being treated
